Sticks Driven Into the Ground and Faces Peering From the Trees — A Maryland Backfoot Investigation You Have to See
If you're fascinated by the idea that Sasquatch might be leaving markers and signs right under our noses in suburban backyards, this next video is going to hook you. A creator who goes by Yeshua Said My Name (YSMN) recently took her camera on a casual walk through her own property in the Sykesville/Westminster area of Maryland — about 30 minutes from the mountains — and the things she points out are the kind of evidence that keeps researchers up at night.
The video starts off deceptively normal. YSMN shows off her vincas, her Leland cypress tree line, her bird feeders (which the squirrels apparently dominate), and talks about her middle son Michael's massive garden out on his three-acre property. She's wearing a shirt that says "Faith Over Fear," which feels like a mission statement for what she's about to share.
Then she gets into it. She walks over to a bare patch of ground near the road and points out where two more sticks — or staffs, as she calls them — were jammed into the earth. This isn't the first time. She mentions a previous staff that was found in the yard, and how her husband came home from work one day asking, "Hey Angie, what's up with the sticks in the yard?" Her husband knows about the presence of what she refers to as nephilim or hybrids, but he's not comfortable talking about it. It clearly disturbs him. She covers the holes up to keep things calm.
Here's where it gets really interesting. YSMN explains that her friend and fellow researcher, who she calls "Brother Mike O.," has an incredible eye for spotting anomalies. While she was leaning down to photograph one of the sticks — which was about seven inches tall and driven into the ground — Mike was watching the footage and spotted faces peering out from the Leland cypress trees. The faces were only a few feet off the ground, suggesting whoever was watching may have been crouched, cloaked, or otherwise concealed. YSMN emphasizes that she never sees anything with her naked eye. It's only when the footage is reviewed, or when she catches glimpses in her sunglasses, that the presence becomes apparent.
This kind of behavior — leaving sticks or staffs driven into the ground near a human dwelling — is something that comes up again and again in Sasquatch research. Witnesses across the country have reported finding similar markers on their property, often near tree lines or game trails. Researchers like the late Dr. Grover Krantz and others have documented these kinds of placements as possible territorial markers or communication attempts. The idea that a Sasquatch might be bold enough to enter a fenced backyard, drive a stick into the soil, and then watch from the tree line while the homeowner films is exactly the kind of behavior that makes this subject so compelling.
YSMN also points out a rock formation in her yard that she says wasn't always there. It appeared one day and has remained unchanged since. She also mentions finding a massive concrete boulder in the thicket area at one point — the kind of thing that doesn't just show up on its own. The thicket itself is a favorite bedding area for deer, thanks to an acorn tree nearby, and she plans to do more filming back there when the fall colors come in.
She mentions having video content lined up about the Vatican and Pope Leo, and talks about filming at Freedom Park and Pine Park when she can. Her Siamese cat, Nala, is dealing with a hyperthyroid issue and has lost a few pounds, which she mentions in passing — a reminder that life keeps happening even when you're documenting the unexplained.
The whole video has that relaxed, conversational feel of someone sharing their daily life, but the subject matter is anything but ordinary. If you're into backyard Bigfoot research, stick structures, cloaked figures in tree lines, or just love hearing from someone who lives this stuff day in and day out, you owe it to yourself to check out the full video over on the Yeshua Said My Name channel. It's a fascinating look at what might be happening in a quiet Maryland backyard — right on the edge of Sasquatch country.
