Bigfoot Investigators Chase Creature, Discover Footprints and Thermal Evidence

Just stumbled across something pretty wild over on YouTube, and honestly, this one gave me chills. A pair of researchers were out cruising some seriously remote backcountry roads at night, and the conversation they were having while driving was absolutely fascinating. They were actively on the hunt, hoping to catch some eye shine with their infrared gear after a recent encounter that clearly left them buzzing.
So here's the backstory they laid out: not long before this footage was filmed, they had actually given chase to something in these very woods. They got close enough to catch a really potent smell and hear some low grunts, which made them think they were right on top of whatever it was. But the creature either went upwind or downwind of them, and they lost the scent. The way they talked about it, you could tell they were still processing what had just happened. They mentioned the grunts sounded like the creature was getting exasperated with them following it, which is such a classic detail that longtime researchers talk about.
What really got my attention was when they started talking about a cave in the area. Apparently, two years ago, one of them spotted a Bigfoot popping up right out of this cave. And as they're driving, they actually pass right by it. You can see the terrain is incredibly rugged, with steep drop-offs and dense forest. They mentioned a 50 to 75 foot drop just to the left of their vehicle, and the road is so rough that any snow would send you sliding off a cliff. That's commitment to the research right there.
Then they get into the footprint evidence, which is where things get really interesting. One of them had pulled a cast of a footprint that was about a size nine, found right in the middle of the road. He actually dropped the plaster cast on the way home and broke it in half, but he cleverly fixed it by mixing fresh plaster in a bucket and essentially creating a plate with the footprint embedded in it. Kind of like those kindergarten handprint keepsakes, as he put it. But here's the kicker: he had another footprint from seven miles away that was the opposite foot, same size, same toe structure. And he made a really solid point: nobody is walking around barefoot in this area, especially not through thorn bushes and black raspberry patches. That kind of detail matters.
The thermal imaging story they shared was probably the most compelling part. They had been up in this area with a small crew testing thermal equipment, and they got a heat signature about a quarter mile from camp. They described seeing something moving its head, swaying left and right, right at a bend in the road near some young pine trees. The heat signature was so strong it actually splashed onto the trees behind the creature. They enhanced those photos later, and what they saw was a face looking upward with a distinct nose, a massive chest, and a muscular arm. The cone-shaped head was the most telling feature, which makes sense because larger creatures tend to have more pronounced sagittal crests where the jaw muscles attach. That's actually a well-documented anatomical feature in primates, and it lines up with a lot of Bigfoot descriptions over the years.
They also touched on the wildlife they encounter up there: bull elk the size of their truck still in velvet, bears, mountain lions, javelina, coyotes, and possibly wolves. They even mentioned a ranger emergency cabin that you have to break into to use, which is a nice touch for how remote this area really is.
