Sasquatch Project Examines Strange Physical Features and Trail Camera Evidence

So, I just stumbled across something pretty fascinating over on YouTube, and I had to share it with you all. Scott Carpenter from the Sasquatch Awareness Project put out a video that's part of his series on what these beings actually look like, and this one? It's all about the strange ones. The ones that don't quite fit the typical description most people expect.
And let me tell you, this one had me glued to the screen.
Carpenter starts off by making a point that I think a lot of researchers can agree with. About 90% of the time, witnesses describe these beings as looking shockingly human. Almost too human. But then there's that other 10%, and that's where things get really interesting. We're talking about encounters with individuals who have upturned noses, pointed ears, unusual facial structures, and features that some might describe as downright monstrous. Carpenter himself has had encounters with these stranger-looking types, and he's not shy about sharing what he's seen.
One of the most compelling parts of the video is when he walks through some of his trail camera photos. There's one near the Great Smoky Mountains that shows what he calls a "peeker," one of those individuals who sets off the trail camera and then pokes their head out between two trees to investigate. This particular one is estimated to be around nine feet tall, and the facial features are described as almost ghoulish. The infrared lighting gives it an eerie quality, but Carpenter emphasizes that this kind of unusual appearance isn't uncommon.
Another photo shows a different individual, also captured on infrared, who was peeking around a tree at the camera. What makes this one particularly interesting is that the creature blinked. Carpenter mentions he's seen them not blink during encounters, but this one did, and he managed to catch it. The features are described as pronounced and weird-looking, with a visible ear and a glowing eye.
Then there's the head comparison shot, and this is where things get really wild. Carpenter stood in the same spot with the same camera to show the massive size of the head. He points out that the creature's lower face alone is as big as his entire face. He estimates this one was over 10 feet tall based on where it was standing and its height. That's a giant, plain and simple.
But the part that really sent chills down my spine was when he showed what he called a "creepy" one. This was captured on a back trail camera in 2009 or 2010, with only 480p resolution, so the quality isn't great, but the features are unmistakable. Carpenter was doing a shoulder turn to walk away when he caught a few frames of this individual sticking its head out from behind some foliage to peek at him. The features are described as almost reptilian, with no visible hair except for a small patch. This is one of those cases where people might say, "That's not a Sasquatch, that's something else," and Carpenter acknowledges that possibility. But he's also received reports of these ghoulish or reptilian-looking individuals from other witnesses.
There's also a close-up of one staring at him down in a ravine in the Great Smoky Mountains, the same area where he and Dave captured vocals. This one has an oblong-shaped face, a very droopy nose with a protrusion, and a lot of distance between the nose and mouth. Carpenter describes it as definitely showing genetic diversity. He went back to the same spot two weeks later and zoomed in, and there was nothing there, so it's not a stump or natural formation.
Now, here's where things get really intriguing. Carpenter shows footage of what he believes is a "little person," not a Sasquatch. He picked up an old black and white trail camera on eBay for about $10, set it up as an afterthought at an old feeding station, and that's the camera that captured this footage. The individual is estimated to be about two to three feet tall, somewhere between knee and hip height on an average adult. It has hair on its face and a beard, and at one point, it jerks its head up so fast that you can see the hair flow out from its face and the beard settle. Carpenter mentions that more than one Native American looked at this footage and told him it was a little person, not a Sasquatch. He explains that there are multiple types of little people, some that look like Sasquatch but are small, and others that look more human but are proportionally small.
This is the kind of footage that makes you realize just how much we still don't know about what's out there. The genetic diversity Carpenter talks about, the possibility of genetic tinkering, the different types of beings that might be sharing these forests with us, it's all part of a much bigger picture.
If you haven't seen this video yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's a reminder that these encounters aren't always with the typical-looking individuals. Sometimes they're with beings that defy easy categorization, and that's what makes this whole field so endlessly fascinating.
Keep your eyes open out there, folks. You never know what you might see.
