There's something genuinely compelling happening over on the Bigfoot of America YouTube channel right now, and if you haven't checked it out yet, you're missing out on what might be one of the more fascinating investigation videos to surface in a while.
The footage centers on a figure known in Michigan folklore as "Boom Boom" — a legendary tracker whose reputation stretches from Detroit all the way up through the northern parts of the state. The video opens with a poetic tribute to this man, painting him as someone with "the heart of a hunter and the soul of a child" who roams the wooded valleys where others fear to tread. It's a great setup for what unfolds next.
What unfolds is a multi-layered investigation that hits on several key pieces of evidence that researchers have been talking about for years. The team comes across tree breaks at exactly 8 feet up — a measurement that immediately gets the conversation going about what kind of creature could be snapping limbs that high. They estimate the responsible Bigfoot to be somewhere between 10 and 12 feet tall, with footprints measuring around 22 inches long and 6 inches wide. One of the investigators even draws a comparison to a juvenile that recently matured, describing it as "lanky like LeBron James" with a light brown coloration. There's also mention of a previous sighting by someone named Kaden Lewis of a 12 to 14 footer that gave him an "unsettled feeling" — described as possibly a rogue individual breaking off to find its own territory.
But the real meat of this video comes when they stumble upon what appears to be a tree structure. And this is where things get really interesting from a behavioral standpoint. Inside the structure, they find bones — what looks like a deer leg, thick and substantial. The theory the investigators put forward is fascinating: they believe Bigfoot may use these structures as nurseries for juveniles, placing infants inside and bringing them deer legs to feed on while keeping them separated from potentially aggressive adults. One investigator mentions finding carcasses nearby with legs ripped off — just spine and ribcage remaining — suggesting the adults are providing food for the young ones. It's a caregiving behavior that lines up with what many researchers have speculated about for decades.
The team also examines what appears to be a track or heel impression, noting it wasn't just a stopping point but showed rotation — suggesting the creature hit with its heel and pushed off, possibly going under a low tree limb. They cross a river (which one of them notes is a great way to find good evidence) and discover a second tree structure across the way. This one has some cut portions on the branches, though most of the structure appears to have been uprooted or carried into place rather than cut.
Now here's where the video takes a turn into the genuinely eerie. The investigators had left apples at three different locations as offerings — a practice based on the idea that a Y-shaped stick or offering can be a sign of friendship from these beings. The next morning, they return to find that two of the apples are gone. And then comes the overnight story.
Around 1:30 AM, one of the investigators was starting to drift off when a "big smash" sounded right over his tent — maybe 20 to 25 yards away. It woke him up immediately. He started listening, and somewhere between 1:45 and 2:00 AM, he heard something he describes as the lowest sound he'd ever encountered. He doesn't even want to call it a vocalization — he labels it as "Sasquatch talking," comparing it to the deep sounds made by Nef from Sasquatch Ontario, but even lower than that. Unfortunately, the video cuts off right as he's about to describe it in more detail, so you'll have to watch to hear his impression of the sound.
The combination of physical evidence — the tree breaks, the structures, the possible tracks, the bones — along with the overnight activity and the missing apples makes this one of those videos that really rewards the full watch. There's a lot to unpack here, and the investigators do a solid job of walking through their thought process as they go. Definitely worth carving out some time for this one.
