There's something incredibly compelling about stumbling across old photographs that might just change how we look at Sasquatch history, and a recent video from the Rocky Mountain Sasquatch YouTube channel delivers exactly that kind of moment. The video walks through three fascinating pieces of evidence that any serious researcher would want to examine closely.
The first segment focuses on a black and white photograph discovered in a grandparents' old photo album around 2017. The anonymous person who found it believes the image may show two Sasquatch walking through a snow-covered forest. What makes this photo particularly interesting are the physical details visible in the image. The larger creature appears to have a massive, muscular build, while both figures show the characteristic long arms that extend down past the knees. Neither subject shows a defined neck, with their heads appearing to rest directly on their shoulders, which matches countless witness descriptions over the years. Both creatures appear to be a uniform dark brown to black color from head to toe, including their hands and feet. The grandson who found the photo has kept the location private, but the questions this raises are fascinating. Did his grandfather know what he had captured on film? Did he hide it away out of fear of being ridiculed? Old family photographs like this one represent an untapped goldmine of potential evidence. Many people kept these images hidden for decades, and only now are they surfacing as family members discover them after loved ones have passed.
The second segment covers what's being called the "bayou creature" caught on a trail camera in Louisiana. The channel host makes an interesting point about why Sasquatch sightings on game cameras are so rare. The smell of plastic, batteries, and electronics might alert the creatures to something that doesn't belong in their environment, or they might actually be able to see the infrared trigger beam. Either way, this particular image was captured around 8:00 a.m. on June 29th, 2013, when several crows foraging near the camera apparently triggered the mechanism. The creature in the image is described as a large dark brown humanoid figure standing next to a hunting shelter. A size comparison was done using Bobo from Finding Bigfoot, who stands at 6'4", and the investigation determined the creature was around 8 feet tall. The figure shows broad shoulders and a bow-legged stance, all consistent with typical Sasquatch descriptions. Louisiana has a rich history of Sasquatch sightings, often referred to as the Rougarou or Honey Island Swamp Monster in local folklore, though many researchers believe these traditions may all point to the same phenomenon.
The third and perhaps most remarkable segment features a sighting report from Seth J., who lives in Cody, Wyoming. Seth describes an encounter he had five months ago while hiking in the Yellowstone region near Kualex Basin. After walking for three hours along Nez Perce Creek, he spotted a small herd of bison that eventually moved east and out of sight, leaving behind one lonely old bull drinking from the creek. That's when Seth saw a tall figure emerge from the woods on the left side, heading toward the bison. The figure was shaped like a huge man with a completely hairy body, and its waist was at the level of the bison's back. Seth knew immediately this wasn't a human because the creature was simply too large. What happened next is the kind of behavior researchers have long suspected but rarely get described in such detail. The figure calmly approached the bison and put something to its mouth, and the bison began eating whatever the Sasquatch had in its hand. The creature then started walking toward the forest, and to Seth's surprise, the bison followed. Moments later, a second figure crossed the creek heading in the same direction, considerably shorter than the first and with what appeared to be dreadlocks on its head. Seth estimates the larger creature was 9 to 10 feet tall with shoulders as wide as the bison's body length, while the smaller one was around 6.5 feet tall with dark red hair. The Yellowstone region has long been considered a hotspot for Sasquatch activity, with numerous sighting reports coming from both inside and outside the park boundaries. The vast, roadless wilderness provides ideal habitat for these creatures to live undisturbed.
This video is absolutely worth watching for anyone interested in Sasquatch research. The combination of historical photographic evidence, modern trail camera imagery, and a detailed eyewitness account of behavior rarely documented makes it a standout piece of content. The Yellowstone sighting in particular offers something we don't often hear about, which is the apparent peaceful interaction between Sasquatch and other wildlife. If that account is accurate, it suggests these creatures have a much more complex relationship with their environment than simply being elusive forest dwellers.
