Campers Stalked by Bigfoot During Olympic Mountains Trip

So I just came across this video that dropped on the Kaine Creepy Stories channel, and it's a first-person account that genuinely gave me chills. A guy named Ryan shares how he went from total skeptic to believer after a camping trip near the Olympic Mountains in Washington State back in the summer of 2022.
Now, if you know anything about Sasquatch country, the Olympic Peninsula is basically holy ground. It's one of the most active hotspots in North America, with reports going back generations. So the setting alone had my attention.
Ryan and his friend Mark set up camp in a pretty remote spot, hours from the nearest town with barely any cell signal. The first night, they started hearing these deep thuds echoing through the forest - like someone whacking a tree with a massive stick. One thud, then another, then silence. Then it would repeat from a different direction. Mark even joked that Sasquatch was checking out the guests. Funny how jokes like that sometimes hit a little too close to the truth.
What happened next is what really got me. Ryan woke up in the middle of the night with the unmistakable feeling that something was right outside the tent. He describes hearing footsteps - not human, not deer, but something enormously heavy circling the camp. Then breathing. Heavy, rattling breathing, like something weighing several hundred pounds was standing just feet away. He says he couldn't even move to wake Mark. That's the kind of primal freeze response you hear about in a lot of credible encounters.
At dawn, they found the tracks. Huge, human-like footprints, nearly twice the length of Ryan's shoe. They followed them and found branches snapped at about 10 feet high - which would require something incredibly tall to push through. Then they heard a vocalization that Ryan says he'll never forget. A drawn-out roar that didn't match any wolf or bear he's ever heard.
But the real moment that changed everything? Ryan actually saw the figure. About 50 meters away, standing between the trees - tall, covered in dark fur, broad shoulders, long arms. It turned its head toward them, and in one fluid movement, vanished into the forest.
What makes this account stand out is how it hits all the classic markers researchers talk about. The wood knocks are a well-documented behavior in Sasquatch lore - some researchers think it's a form of communication or territorial signaling. The heavy footsteps, the vocalizations, the massive tracks, the broken branches at height, and a visual sighting that lasted just a few seconds. It all lines up with patterns seen in encounters across the Pacific Northwest for decades.
Ryan isn't asking anyone to believe him, but his advice at the end is pretty solid - if you're ever deep in the woods and hear tapping in the darkness, maybe don't go investigate.
Definitely worth checking out the video for yourself. Ryan tells the story in a way that really makes you feel like you're right there in that tent.
