Kentucky isn't exactly the first place that comes to mind when you think about Sasquatch territory. The Pacific Northwest usually gets all the attention, right? But a recent video came across featuring a witness from Davis County, Kentucky, who has had multiple encounters over the years, and let me tell you, this one's worth paying attention to. The witness describes an area with tall hills, deep ravines, and dense woods that meets into the river bottoms near the Ohio River. Classic Sasquatch habitat if you ask me. Lots of game, thick cover, water nearby. These creatures tend to favor terrain just like this, especially in regions where they're not expected to be. His first encounter happened around 2002 while he was helping his uncle clear a tree line. He was sitting on a small tractor with the engine off, waiting for his uncle to finish knocking down trees with a bulldozer. The bulldozer was running full blast when he heard something that made the hair stand up on the back of his neck, a roaring scream so loud it cut right through the sound of heavy machinery. That's not a deer, and that's not a coyote. When he turned to look, every animal in the area was fleeing from a ravine behind an old abandoned barn. Then he saw it. Something leaning out of the barn doorway, looking right at him. It had its arm wrapped around the beam at the top of the door opening. Now here's the part that really got me. The witness is 6'3" and on his tiptoes could barely touch that beam. That puts this creature at 8 to 8.5 feet tall, minimum. It watched him for 15 to 20 minutes before finally leaving. Fast forward to around 2007. Same property. He and a buddy were up in the hills digging through shale piles looking for fossils when they started getting rocks thrown back at them. They decided to leave, and on the walk back to his truck, they heard footsteps pacing them in a ditch alongside the road. Whatever it was stopped when they stopped and moved when they moved. When they got close to the truck, he kicked on his high beams and the creature came bolting out of the ditch, ran right in front of the truck, and took off straight up a steep hillside faster than anything that size should be able to move. He describes it as shaggy but clean, muscular, with a grayish tint. There's also a story about a loud whistle he and his cousin heard while camping out in a tree fort they had built on one of the ridges. A whistle so powerful he could feel it in his chest. And over the years, he's experienced rocks being thrown at him, found possible tree structures, heard more whistles, and even a high-pitched chittering sound that bounced back and forth through the woods like monkey gibberish. The thing that stands out to me about this account is the consistency. Same area, multiple encounters spanning years, and a height estimate that lines up with what countless other witnesses have reported. Kentucky might not be on the typical Sasquatch map, but reports like this one are exactly why researchers shouldn't limit their search to the Pacific Northwest. These creatures have been reported in nearly every state, and the Ohio River Valley has its own long history of sightings. Definitely worth checking out the full video for all the details. This is one of those accounts that stays with you.
