Hey Squatchable readers!
Today we're diving into the chilling tale of the Chetco Monster, a creature that has haunted the forests of Chetco County, Oregon since the late 1800s. This story comes from a YouTube video by Creek Devil, and it's a must-watch for any Bigfoot enthusiast.
The video starts with a brief history of the Chetco Monster, also known as the Chetco Indian Devil. The location is about 60 miles north of Willow Creek, California, and approximately 6 miles north of the California-Oregon border.
The story begins with enormous human-like footprints discovered along the river banks. The loggers, who were the only inhabitants of the area, were puzzled by the size of the footprints, as none of them had feet that large. The mystery deepened when the sounds of eerie whistling and angry shrieks filled the campsite at night, causing the loggers to arm themselves and keep a sharp lookout for any danger.
One night, a group of loggers decided to search for the source of the sounds. They followed the line of giant-sized footprints and stumbled upon a massive, hairy creature that looked like an ape. The creature was 7 or 8 feet tall, with beady yellow eyes, bar teeth, and hands like a man, only twice as large and covered with hair right down to the fingernails.
The loggers tried to chase the creature, but it was too fast for them. They returned to the campsite, shaken and terrified. The creature continued to terrorize the campsite for several nights, until a group of loggers decided to take matters into their own hands.
They set up a patrol to guard the campsite day and night, and they managed to kill the creature after a fierce battle. The body of the creature was found torn to pieces, with massive footprints leading away from the scene.
The video ends with a chilling reminder that the Chetco Monster still roams the forests of Oregon, waiting for its next victim. So, if you ever find yourself in the area, be sure to keep a close eye on your surroundings and never venture into the woods alone.
