Hairline creeping down my forehead
Stubble climbing up my cheek
Shave for hours every morning
At the barber twice a week
Shoe-size double what it once was
Jacket busting at the seams
Postpubescent eyelid peachfuzz
Blew the crotch out of my jeans
I report a sighting in the mirror every dawn
Run to grab my camera, when I turn around he?s gone
?Til I?m shocked to find that I had been the bearman all along
The Thing That Comes
Hairy palms makes typing tougher
Can?t barely fit into my car
Now my work begins to suffer
Spend most nights stinking up the bar
I?ve acquired some fresh new odors
Sorta fishy sorta sweet
The ladies bolt when I walk over
Booked a spa treatment next week
I report a sighting in the mirror every dawn
Run to grab my camera, when I turn around he?s gone
?Til I?m shocked to find that I had been the sasquatch all along

Neighbors chase me to the treeline
Raising torches, beating drums
Screeching ?think about the children?
They fear the beast I have become,
Life in the woods has got its upsides
Stretched out on the forest floor
Naked on the redwood needles
The great bipedal omnivore
