Creature stares down young deer hunter near Lewiston, Michigan witnessed in Montmorency County, Michigan

I was 17 years old and bow hunting and had placed apples and Doe estruses [scent] near a stump and went back to sit 60-100 ft cant remember for sure anyway I do remember sitting up hill being heavily camouflaged [face paint and all , I made a small blind and waited, w/in a couple of hours I nodded off and heard a sound and noticed a group 3=4 Deer gathered around, being close to end of bow season with no Deer yet I decided to aim for one that was broad side. A buddy had talked me into using a tracker string which is a high visibility string attached to bow [ similar to fishing real and string] well as I let an arrow lose the string became entangled on a bush and dropped a foot or two short and the deer ran off , I decide to leave the arrow and stay for a bit. well I dozed off and an hour or so later some woke me up, it was nearing dusk and I looked down at the bait area to see what at first I thought was a Bear until an arm shot out and grabbed my arrow that I shot earlier ,I WAS STUNDED I knew this wasn't a bear I was looking at, after a very short moment this thing stood up from 4 legs to 2 it appeared to be looking at my arrow and it started to follow the string which was leading its sight right to were I was it appeared to be starring/studying me for a moment and as soon as I moved my arm holding the bow I heard a sound similar to a deep "HUFF" and it turned and jumped into /behind some brush and was gone. I was too stunned to even stand up then all of a sudden I became terrified and jumped up and ran back to my vehicle. it was a few years before I could talk myself into going back into the woods..
