Elk Camp 2001 . . . VERY LOUD and LONG VOLCALIZATIONS! The night before the incident, I aimed my 2,000,000 candle power spotlight to the cliffs and caves above the camp. As usual the relatives were around the campfire till late at night (1:00 a.m.) cracking jokes and making the most racket around, long after other area camps shut off their noisy generators. Believed this attracted it's couriousity. The relatives (3) who witnessed the sounds are very experienced outdoorsmen. One worked in the Northwest woods as a surveyor and has been chased by bears a couple of times (One time his co-worker had his pack ripped from his back as they ran) and all three know the sounds animals make. What they heard was NOT something like a Bear or Cougar! They are braver than most, not easily frightened by anyone or anything! The night of the incident was quiet and cold . . . about 2:30 a.m. one relative went outside the tent to relieve himself. As usual, he shined his flashlight around the peri...

I was camping up at Rimrock lake on the far side , there's an elk camp up the road on the n.e. side where a river enters Rimrock resivor , any my son and I used to camp up there a lot because it's out of the way of the main campgrounds and people. In 2007 we were camping and it was late at night and there's a few elk and deer trails that come through the area so we were used to early morning and evening activity from them. One night about 2:00 a.m. after our fire had died down and we were sleeping we heard knocking noises in the distance , then it slowly got closer and louder , I don't know why but after seeing so many Bigfoot shows and stories I wanted to see if it there was any truth to the knocking communication , so I got out of my tent and found the biggest piece of wood I could handle and started knocking on a tree , I did it in sequences of 3 knocks per time and sure enough I got an answer , just to make sure after a couple of hours it stopped so we hopped in the truck and drove down to where there might be other campers but the public sights were empty , there was no one around for miles , just the ranger station and a few summer houses at the end of the road. So with that in mind I was pretty sure we had an encounter , I have been back several times over the years but I don't camp there I just get an eerie feeling being there , I haven't ever shared this with anyone , I am glad to see that other's have had sightings and have heard things up in that area , it's really not far from Randle and camp La Wis Wis
