If you've ever wondered whether Alabama deserves more credit in the Sasquatch world, this interview is going to make a strong case for it. The Cryptid Huntress, hosted by Jessica Jones, recently sat down with Mark Green for a conversation that covers everything from his very first sighting back in 2007 to ongoing Dogman encounters on his property in East Alabama.
Mark and his wife Rebecca live near a place they've nicknamed "Creepy Mountain," and the name fits. What started as a single sighting in Lowndes County years ago has turned into years of research, investigation, and a whole lot of strange activity on their hunting lease. Mark describes a group of these creatures inhabiting the area, and since his original encounter, he's had multiple run-ins with both Bigfoot and Dogman on his farmstead.
For anyone unfamiliar with the Alabama Sasquatch scene, this interview is a great primer. Jessica points out that Alabama doesn't always get the recognition it deserves in the research community, but the state is loaded with the kind of terrain these creatures tend to favor. Massive timber coverage, rivers, creeks, springs, and lakes everywhere you look. Alabama ranks third or fourth in the country for timber production, and the southernmost point of the Appalachian Mountains runs right through the central part of the state. Some folks even call it the Amazon of North America because of how much river drainage flows into it from neighboring states. When you stack all of that up, it's hard to argue against Alabama being a legitimate hotspot.
Mark and Rebecca run their own YouTube channel called Cedar Creek Bottoms Farmstead Life, which focuses on homesteading and farming life alongside their Bigfoot experiences. They go live every Friday night, and the community there is worth checking out if you want to hear more from Mark directly.
One of the more interesting moments in the interview comes when Jessica brings up some of the lesser-known cryptids that have come out of Alabama over the years, including the Mobile Wolfwoman from the 1970s. She also starts to mention the Catahoula connection before the discussion cuts off, which is worth looking into on its own.
Jessica and Mark also mention an upcoming event in October at Cornwallis 1828, which is about 40 miles west of Montgomery. Both of them will be speaking, and the town hall portion is free to attend. There's also a paid expedition option for anyone who wants to spend more time in the field.
If you're into Dogman reports, Alabama Sasquatch sightings, or just want to hear from someone who's been documenting this stuff on their own property for nearly two decades, this is a solid watch. Jessica keeps the conversation flowing, and Mark is clearly comfortable sharing what he's experienced. The full episode is worth your time.
