A bizarre story has recently come to light involving a man from Oklahoma who claimed he killed his friend as a sacrifice to Bigfoot. The video, posted on the YouTube channel Fables Universe, tells the tale of Larry Sanders, who was convicted of murder after strangling his friend Jimmy Knighton. According to the report, Sanders and Knighton were fishing in Ponto Talk County on July 9th, 2022, when Sanders saw three creatures that resembled Sasquatch downstream. He claimed that Knighton had summoned Bigfoot to come and kill him, and when Knighton insisted that Sanders get a fish for him, Sanders believed his friend was planning on drowning him and floating his body downstream to feed to the Bigfoot. The defense argued that Sanders was trying to take control of the situation, not kill Knighton, but the state argued that Sanders made sure Knighton died by waiting until he turned blue before letting go of the chokehold. Knighton's body was not found until the next day. Sanders confessed to the murder at least five times, including during an interview with the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation. He claimed he had acted in self-defense, but a forensic psychiatrist testified that Sanders was under the influence of methamphetamine psychosis at the time of the killing. As Bigfoot believers, we must approach this story with an open mind, but also with a critical eye. While it's possible that Sanders believed he was sacrificing his friend to Bigfoot, it's also possible that his actions were influenced by drug use or mental illness. Regardless, the story is a tragic reminder of the dangers of drug use and the importance of seeking help for mental health issues. It's also a reminder of the power of belief and the lengths that some people will go to in order to protect themselves and their loved ones.
