Bigfoot Encounter in Washington: A Camper's Chilling Tale

A chilling tale of an unexpected encounter with a possible Sasquatch has been making the rounds on YouTube. The story comes from the channel Old Hillbilly Horror and is part of a collection of terrifying park ranger horror stories. The witness, who remains unnamed, describes their experience in April of 1995 while attending college in Yakama, Washington. They were an avid hunter and fisherman, and during the summer months, they were infatuated with the idea of finding Bigfoot. They would often joke with their mother, who they were staying with while in school, that they would find their "Beast" that weekend. Little did they know how much they would regret making that statement. One evening, the witness and their friend went out to the north Fort for a hunting trip. They set up camp for the night and cooked some Bratz over the fire. After dinner, they sat on the tailgate watching the fire and talking until about 11:00 p.m. It wasn't long before they both fell asleep, ready for the morning hunt. At around 3:30 a.m., the witness woke up to complete silence. They couldn't even hear the creek anymore, which was unusual. They reached over and shook their friend's leg to wake them up, but their friend just rolled over and asked what their problem was. The witness told their friend to listen, but they didn't hear anything. The witness then realized that it was too quiet for even a predator to be close. Suddenly, they heard footsteps coming from the trees. They whispered to their friend, "Do you hear that?" but their friend just told them to go back to sleep. The footsteps were getting closer, and the witness could tell that they were being made by something much larger than a bear. They could also smell it - a mix of garbage dump and the odor of death. The witness and their friend sat quietly as the creature walked around the truck. Then, they heard the sound of cloth being torn above them. The witness looked up and saw fingers - human fingers, but about four times bigger than their own. The creature was tearing back the cloth, and all they could see were two glowing yellow eyes looking down at them through the hole. Without thinking, the witness grabbed the closest fishing rod and swung it with all their might, hitting the creature right across the bridge of its nose. The creature let out a scream that shook everything inside the truck, and the witness's friend messed himself. The creature then hit the truck with such force that it felt like a semi-truck had smashed into it. The witness then felt an overwhelming feeling of sadness and started yelling at the creature, apologizing and promising to leave as soon as the sun came up. The creature let out what sounded like a whimper and walked off back across the road. Within a couple of minutes, all the forest sounds came back. The witness and their friend didn't poke their nose out from under the cloth until the morning. When they came out of the truck, they saw that the creature had pushed the truck a good 3 ft toward the edge. The bent metal on the fender and running board was clear evidence of the creature's strength. Since that encounter, the witness's friend still won't talk about it. But in early February 2017, something unusual took place. The witness was in the local Target store in a Philadelphia suburb shopping with their daughter when they noticed a young woman ahead of them. There was something weird about her gate, and as they got closer, they saw that she was biting her fingers to the point where there was blood visible. As the witness passed the woman, she turned and looked at them with jet black eyes. The witness's daughter noticed that the woman's head turned in fast motion completely around, which frightened her so bad that she begged them to leave the store. The witness now feels as though this was an evil being, demonic and taking on the form of humans. This video is a fascinating account of a possible Sasquatch encounter and the witness's subsequent sighting of a black-eyed being. While it's impossible to verify the authenticity of the witness's story, it's definitely worth a watch for anyone interested in the world of the paranormal.
